Position Overview

Radius Method is seeking a Government Proposal Writer and Software Sales Specialist who will play a critical role in developing winning proposals and driving business growth by selling our technical software solutions to government clients. This hybrid role combines expertise in government proposal writing, capture management, and software product sales. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in federal contracting, be well-versed in DoD acquisition processes, and possess a strong technical background in selling software solutions. Compensation is salary (starting 150k) + commission, based on experience. Must be a US citizen.


Key Responsibilities

Proposal Writing & Capture Management (60%)

  • Lead Proposal Development: Draft, manage, and submit compliant, high-quality proposals in response to federal RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs across DoD and civilian agencies.
  • Collaborate with SMEs: Work closely with subject matter experts to gather technical, pricing, and compliance information for proposals.
  • Capture Planning: Develop and implement capture strategies to secure new opportunities, aligning our offerings with government needs.
  • Proposal Coordination: Manage the proposal lifecycle, including the coordination of writing teams, graphic designers, and compliance reviewers.
  • Orals and Presentations: Assist in preparing for orals presentations and demonstrations to government agencies when applicable.
  • Pipeline Management: Research and identify new business opportunities through SAM.gov, GSA schedules, and other federal procurement channels.

Software Sales (40%)

  • Lead Sales Efforts: Promote and sell Radius Method’s products, including SocketZero (Zero Trust), Crystal Tower (DevSecOps platform), and Landmine (cybersecurity breach detection), to federal government agencies.
  • Client Engagement: Build relationships with key government stakeholders, ensuring deep understanding of their technology needs and aligning solutions to meet those requirements.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a go-to-market sales strategy for government customers, including outreach, demos, and closing deals.
  • Technical Presentations: Present and demonstrate the technical capabilities of our products to prospective clients, addressing technical questions and challenges.
  • Market Research: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to ensure a competitive edge in securing new business.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in government proposal writing and capture management, preferably within the DoD or federal contracting space.
  • Proven track record of winning federal contracts through well-crafted proposals.
  • 3+ years of experience in software product sales with a focus on selling to government clients.
  • Strong understanding of federal procurement processes, including FAR, DFARS, and contract vehicles (e.g., SBIRs, GSA, IDIQs, MATOCs).
  • Demonstrated experience with technical software solutions (e.g., DevSecOps, Zero Trust architectures, AI/ML, cybersecurity).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for proposal writing and sales presentations.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams, especially with technical SMEs and leadership to align on proposal and sales goals.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with platforms such as Platform One, Big Bang, Iron Bank, or similar DevSecOps environments.
  • Existing network within the DoD and other federal agencies.
  • Experience selling cloud, cybersecurity, or AI/ML-based solutions.
  • Active security clearance or ability to obtain one is a plus.
